Weighing only 34.6 pounds, the CST™ 282 is designed for easy movement around demanding jobsites, improving operator comfort, mobility and safety.

Auto-Line™ Technology allows connection to either single-phase or three-phase primary input voltage from 208-600 volts without manual linking, making it ideal for unreliable or varying power conditions.

Rack mount options for 4 and 8 pack configurations provide additional protection, transport convenience and simplified power management.

Advanced Arc Performance

The CST™ 282 delivers superior Stick arc performance with settings specifically designed for XX10 and XX18 electrodes, including stiff and soft arc modes for varying applications.

Adaptive Hot Start automatically improves electrode starting without creating inclusions, helping achieve cleaner welds and more reliable starts.

Lift-Arc technology provides arc starting that minimises electrode contamination without the use of high frequency.

Smart Controls & Safety

The simple and accurate digital interface includes push-button controls and digital metering for precise amperage setting and monitoring.

The Miller-exclusive Universal Connector System supports both Tweco- and Dinse-style connectors without requiring machine disassembly or external adapters.

Voltage Reducing Device (VRD) technology lowers output voltage during non-welding pauses, improving operator safety by reducing accidental contact hazards.
